LONG-LASTING ANTI-CORROSIVE PROTECTIVE WAX

Protective wax for outdoor storage (summer/winter) and - especially - for transport in highly corrosive environments (maritime). For the protection of engines or other equipment operating in corrosive or very humid environments - industrial pumps in pumping stations or thermal power plants, etc.

It is also used as a cavity wax for the inside of car doors or to protect sensitive parts.

Product type: anti-corrosion protection and sealing wax in bulk form (in canister or drum). Provides long-term protection when chrome plating / painting / galvanization is not desired.

Destination: engines, coils, valves, machinery, semi-finished products, agricultural machinery protected during winter, bodywork (inside doors, thresholds), etc. Depending on the application, the product provides protection against corrosion for up to 5 years

Effect: BRUNOX® IX 100 forms a compact protective film with a waxy appearance, which does not become brittle and protects for a long period in the most varied conditions: against the direct action of environmental factors, combustion gases or salt water.

How to use Application: BRUNOX® IX 100 is applied in an even layer on the dry surface*, if necessary in several layers, by spraying, with a brush or with an airless or airless gun. The parts can also be treated by immersion in the solution, if packaging in a can is chosen. The thickness of the applied layer should be at least 20 μm. The best protection against corrosion is obtained when the layer thickness is approximately 50 μm

*If the surface is damp, it is recommended to treat it beforehand with BRUNOX® Turbo-Spray®. This is sprayed over the entire surface, in corners and cracks, so that the moisture is removed and any traces of water run off. Then wipe the BRUNOX® Turbo-Spray® layer with a cloth and apply BRUNOX® IX 100.

Removal of the layer as needed: BRUNOX® IX 100 can be removed with ethyl alcohol, cleaning solvent or by pressure cleaning and a surfactant solution.

Film thickness: 20-50 microns

Density at +20°C: Aerosol spray version: 0.89 ± 0.04 g/cm³ / Can/bulk version: 0.93 ± 0.04 g/cm³

Viscosity at +20°C: Aerosol Spray = 48 mPas / Bulk = 480 mPas

Covering power/Yield: ~40 m²/l at 25μm layer / ~16 m²/l at 50μm layer

Film consistency and appearance: dry, touch-resistant, wax-like film

Drying time: partially dry, dust-resistant in 1-2 hours / hardens, touch-resistant after approximately 12 hours

High temperature resistance: hardened film withstands up to +80°C / flash point in solution +51°C at the bulk, in can / flammable in spray version due to propellant gas!

Duration of protection provided: up to 5 years indoors / up to 1.5 years covered / up to 1 year outdoors, uncovered.
