Description
Salicru's DC Power-S power systems include the following components: DC-S modular rectifiers, subracks, a control and monitoring system, a communications module, and a DC distribution unit, all located in a closed cabinet, with the possibility of including batteries.
The DC Power-S modular rectifiers are available in power ratings of 1000, 2000 and 2700 W and output voltages of 24, 48, 60, 110, 125 and 220 Vdc. Its modular design allows the installation of up to 4 modules in a 19” 2U subrack, achieving very high power density.
The control and monitoring system manages the entire system: input and output measurements, battery charging currents (batteries are not supported for the 60V output voltage option), priority and non-priority load control and external communication channels. The maximum number of rectifiers controlled by a control system is 30, allowing systems to reach nominal powers of up to 81 kW with N+n redundant configuration options.
The basic version of the communication module has: three programmable relays, a battery temperature sensor and an RS-232/485 channel. The extended version has a slot for a Nimbus Ethernet/SNMP adapter, an input for detecting the NiCd electrolyte level and six additional relays.

SMART Mode
The DC POWER-S rectifier has an intelligent module rotation system that offers two simultaneous advantages, depending on the load volume:
- Optimizing equipment life. Modules are sequentially shut down to reduce their usage, thus extending the overall life of the system.
- Improved performance and reduced energy costs. The performance curve of the rectified modules is improved at higher load percentages. By reducing the number of modules in operation, each of them is assigned a higher load, thus achieving optimal levels of energy efficiency.
