Ni-Zn batteries, a less known type of accumulators are dedicated to applications that require higher voltage, similar to that of alkaline batteries of a similar format. Thus, they are frequently used by photographers in flashes and cameras, flashlights, but also in other applications provided for a voltage of at least 1.5V / cell (in AA or AAA format). They offer higher voltages and capacities than ordinary NiMH batteries, but the number of cycles is lower (~300 cycles).
