Professional mini flashlight WOLFLITE M-70 ATEX Z0
Description
The Wolf (UK) technical team has developed the new M-70 Mini LED flashlight to fully meet the latest and strictest safety standards, designed to protect people working in potentially explosive dust atmospheres. The latest harmonization of ATEX and IECEx standards means that it is now much more difficult for Ex-rated torches and flashlights to reach the highest and safest level of dust certification – Zone 20 – and almost all equipment previously certified as Zone 20 would not reach this rating if they were tested according to the new standards.
Our new mini LED flashlight for hazardous area inspections, the M-70, has been specially designed by the technical team in Sheffield to meet these requirements and has passed the necessary tests for this increased level of safety. Wolf CEO Alex Jackson is delighted with the new torch, saying: "It's the best certified product in the Wolf range and can be taken anywhere. It's waterproof, can be used in 0/20 areas with potential gas and dust explosives. In fact, it's the ideal flashlight to take anywhere."
The most significant change in the latest harmonized standard is the recognition of dust subgroups, where previously they did not exist. Are:
IIIA – Combustible powders
IIIB – Non-conductive dust
IIIC – Conductive dust

Other changes include a demand for improved mechanical protection in the case (to ensure that electrically conductive dust cannot enter the circuit with unwanted and potentially serious consequences) and a number of new requirements for the materials used in the case.
The new M-70 inspection torch provides that extra protection and gives users the peace of mind and safety they are looking for when working in potentially explosive atmospheres. Its mechanically protected housing prevents dust from entering the place where the batteries and the circuit are located - even if the flashlight is subjected to mechanical force or damage. This means that it can be taken into an atmosphere where electrically conductive dust is present. In common with all the flashlights in the Wolf Mini & Micro range, it is ergonomically designed and made of high quality thermoplastic resin, with excellent resistance to impact and chemicals.
The spotlight beam has a wider edge with CREE LEDs that emit a light output of up to 107 lumens, powered by 2 easily available AAA batteries. The duration is up to 7 hours. IP67 certified, the M-70's polycarbonate lens is recessed into the lens ring to minimize the risk of damage. Other features include a lanyard hole and a pocket clip for secure retention and to prevent rolling on a flat surface. Its switch is a button for one-handed use and is encased to protect against accidental operation.
